Parts storage

Production parts

A large high-rack warehouse is located in front of the assembly lines. Both parts and subassemblies produced in-house are stored here until they are called for by the assembly lines.

The quality of the parts is continuously monitored in an adjoining test room.

Supplied parts

CLAAS balers are characterised by a high percentage of components produced in-house. This high degree of vertical integration is evident in the production of knotters, rollers and rotor technology. There are approximately 5,000 different parts in this warehouse. These include not only custom pipes for the frame, but also V-belts, baler belts, bearings, and electrical and electronic parts from leading suppliers.

Incoming parts are checked for the agreed quality and the correct unit quantity. Unit quantity checking is often done by weight calculation. A portion is weighed precisely. In the presentation, you see a rotor star for the ROLLANT ROTO CUT cutting system that weighs 3.5 kg. If a stacking box weighs 542.5 kg, this means 155 stars were delivered.
