Biomass

Staple foods, raw materials and energy.

Alongside food production, an entirely new sector is emerging in the agricultural industry – the production of raw materials and energy.

Biomass

Food production has always been the core purpose of the agricultural sector, and will remain so. In view of the finite nature of fossil fuels, however, biomass is becoming more and more important as a viable solution in energy and raw materials supply.

CLAAS has demonstrated a keen interest in the topic of renewable resources for more than 20 years, following the guiding principle of food and biomass, sustainability and economic viability. We are continuing to refine the procedures and methods in all aspects of harvesting, logistics and land utilisation along these lines.
