Turning wood into bulk material.Turning wood into bulk material.
HS-2 wood harvesting attachment. The new HS-2 wood-harvesting attachment operates along two rows. Its two hardened metal saw blades can cut stems up to 70 mm in diameter. A gathering bar with hydraulic angle adjustment prestresses the stems and determines the direction in which they fall. Thin branches protruding from the main stems are gathered by two side-mounted augers. Two tine wheels with flexible tines pull in the crop and feed it via a knife drum to the pre-compression housing and the cutterhead. ![]() Mechanical and hydraulic drive for more functionalityThe two tine rotors and the knife guiding roller are mechanically driven. Different speeds are set via the JAGUAR's chop length gearbox. The HS - 2 attachment can be reversed if necessary. An overload protection is provided by a safety clutch. High flexibility: after being used for SALIX, the JAGUAR can quickly be converted for use in grass and corn. ![]() Cutting cylinderThe outfitting of the chopping mechanism corresponds to that used, for example, in grass harvesting. The chopping drum is equipped with the normal universal knives. The length of cut can be adjusted to six settings. With the full complement of knives, chop lengths from four to 17 mm can be achieved. Reducing the number of knives by half allows chop lengths from eight to 34 mm. ![]() Traditional field transportWith traditional field transport logistics, you can usually rely on an available and proven machinery chain, but multiple transport machines and drivers also mean higher costs. Both machines must be driven parallel, and that requires increased attentiveness on the part of both drivers. ![]() JAGUAR with loading containersThe use of loading containers offers many advantages. Only the JAGUAR travels through the energy wood crop in such a manner that no damage is done to the salix stumps by the tires and the next salix harvest in a few years is protected. |
