Rodina TOO/Svobodnoe TOO, Kazakhstan

Three XERION tractors are used on Svobodnoe TOO farm in Kazakhstan, and Rodina TOO even has five of them.
A high work rate is particularly important for drilling work in spring.

One example is the 25,000 hectare Svobodnoe TOO farm in the Maximowskoje region, 340 km north east of the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana. Three XERION 3800 tractors are used here, proving their productive efficiency by pulling 12 m Amity air seeders. A top work rate is particularly important for drilling work, which mainly
takes place in spring.
This means that a period of only 14 days from mid April to the start of May is actually available for drilling work. This is not a problem with the new XERION 3800: With a drilling depth of between 5 and 7 cm, the Harsewinkel tractors achieve working speeds of between 9 and 11 km/h and daily output values of around 160 hectares per tractor/ seeder team.

Conditions are similar at the Rodina TOO farm, 60 km south west of Astana. The total surface area of the farm is 63,000 hectares, of which around 48,000 is cultivated. Rodina TOO is part of the Kazakhstan pilot scheme for establishing large, new dairy farms using modern technology and foreign breeds with high outputs. Around 15 days are available for drilling work in the spring. Rodina TOO uses five XERION tractors to pull Horsch Agrosoyuz 12 m air seeders.

However, director Iwan Sauer sees another important advantage of the XERION concept for his farm: "The XERION is the ideal tractor for us because it can be used effectively for a variety of tasks. Other tractors can only be used for heavy cultivation.
We also use our XERION to pull PTO-driven machines such as large-square balers and for transportation purposes. This means that we can significantly improve efficiency and reduce costs."
