Tormod Eitrheim and partner, Kristin Mythe, run a municipal contracting company in Hemsedal, a famous Norwegian winter sports location approximately 225 km from Oslo. In winter, this means snow throwing, snow shovelling and grit spreading; in summer, sweeping roads, maintaining verges and green areas, and mulching greenery on ski pistes.
And how is it then that Tormod Eitrheim came to purchase the XERION of all the tractors available? "The first time I saw it with my own eyes," he says "was in February 2006, at the official launch of CLAAS tractors in Norway." He also seized the opportunity to take the XERION for a test drive: in three hours he was convinced. "I really liked the fact," he continues, "that you can turn the XERION cab through 180 degrees. You get a perfect view of everything that's going on around you. You also sit high up. This is good, particularly in a snow storm as it improves visibility. You work far more effectively and don't become as tired when you've been out a very long time."
