Transmission

Thanks to its fully reversible and infinitely variable ZF Eccom 3.5 transmission, the XERION 3300 is guaranteed permanent four-wheel drive. Driving mode and direction of travel are controlled at the simple touch of a button. The four driving modes are automatically activated in both directions of travel. Between 0 and 50 km/h, the XERION 3300 changes gears smoothly and without interruption to the power. It reaches 50 km/h whilst still operating at a fuel-saving engine speed of 1,800 rpm.

The XERION 3300 can be driven in four modes. The desired mode is easy to select via CEBIS. In AUTOMOTIVE mode, simply depress the accelerator pedal and you’ll drive as if you were in an automatic car. In CRUISE mode, cruise control keeps the forwards and reverse speeds constant. In MANUAL mode, engine speed and gear ratio are selected independently via the pedal and the fingertip lever. Hand throttle mode is used when working with power take-off. At a constant engine speed, the vehicle speed is controlled only by the change in the transmission ratio. When the XERION 3300 comes to a halt, it is held in standstill position by the transmission, without the need to apply the brake.
