The reversing fan is a major advantage; of course, we use it several times a day, particularly when we're handling straw! The SCORPION also makes light work of towing a heavy 12-ton straw trailer. Most other 9 m telescopic booms are nowhere near as suitable for heavy duty agricultural use," reckons Simon Ooms.

"What we particularly liked", says Simon Ooms, "is the powerful drive; this is noticeable when moving sand and earth. Furthermore, the SCORPION is easy to operate. There is no need for shifting gears, because it has a continuously variable transmission, and forwards and reverse can be selected easily with a button on the driver's control lever."
