In the case of chains, the interaction of the individual component parts is very important. Durability, high break strength and minimum elongation are all critical to a successful harvest. The bushings and rollers of ORIGINAL CLAAS chains are produced by cold extrusion and consequently have a homogeneous, seamless microstructure. This reduces chain and gear wear while giving excellent durability and long service life. The conveyor chain in the elevator of the LEXION can for example handle approx. 60 tons of wheat per hour. That’s enough to bake 1.2 million bread rolls.
