CLAAS loader wagons and balers are designed for collecting forage quickly and cleanly. The use of ORIGINAL CLAAS knives has been proven to ensure you obtain a constant cutting quality, and consequently also forage quality, over long periods. The one-sided impressed cylindrical grinding optimizes the cutting geometry of ORIGINAL CLAAS knives. The long-drawn knife form and sharply ground cutting edge reduce the effort required when producing the cut.
Special production processes and high-quality material make the ORIGINAL CLAAS knives particularly resistant to wear: their great hardness is due to the use of a special chromealloy steel which extends the intervals between resharpening. The fine-grained microstructure, notch-free serration and crack-free cut edges reduce the risk of fractures. Special heat treatment methods are used to increase the mechanical strength of the knives and prevent them from warping.
