Chains

ORIGINAL CLAAS chains.

The interaction between the individual parts is a matter of paramount importance in any chain. Often barely visible from the outside, even the slightest deviation can have major effects. The quality and reliability of a chain consequently have a decisive effect on the success of a harvesting campaign. All ORIGINAL CLAAS roller chains surpass the requirements imposed by DIN standards. They are characterized by a particularly long chain life, high resistance to breaking, precision and fatigue strength. The elongation occurring in practical use is minimized by their high resistance to wear, with the result that ORIGINAL CLAAS chains need not be retensioned as often as conventional chains.

Internal runners.

The inner links in ORIGINAL CLAAS roller chains comprise two inner link plates with two firmly impressed bushes bearing pivotable rollers. The outer links are formed by two outer link plates with two impressed and riveted pins

Quality features.

Designation

 Special features

 Your advantages

Bush

Acts as bearing for the roller; its extremely smooth extruded surface ensures minimum friction and therefore little increase in chain temperature

Lower wear due to perfect lubrication at all times

Roller

Seamlessly cold-extruded; ensures contact between chain and sprocket; its uniform wall thickness ensures smooth running and little increase in chain temperature

High performance through optimum power transmission, lower wear on chain and sprocket

Link plate

Transmits the tensile forces in the chain; made from tempering steel of particularly high quality; outstanding quality of the holes prevents tearing

Extremely long service life

Pin

Forms the chain joint in combination with the bush; optimally hardened for maximum toughness

Extremely long service life and maximum reliability

Attachment

Engages directly in the flow of material or is used to fit conveyor slats; precisely adapted to the respective service conditions of the CLAAS machines

Loss-free conveyance of the harvested material

Your benefits:

  • high fatigue strength and resistance to breaking
  • high case hardness and cold-extrusion ensure extremely high resistance to wear
  • lower maintenance effort due to minimum elongation
