Base Frame

Optimum weight distribution.

Excellent grip.

Thanks to the two rigid axles in connection with the rubber-sprung rotary joint in the centre of the chassis, you will never lose contact with the ground. All four wheels are constantly loaded with even weights.

This keeps the weight distribution of the machine at an optimum level. Gentle field travel and maximum course holding, protection against tipping, even on extremely steep slopes and even power transmission to the wheels contribute to the protection of the grass stubble.

Buffered.

The basic chassis of the COUGAR consists of two independent frames made of highly stable and torsion-resistant steel. The cab is positioned on the engine side of the chassis, whilst the mowers are fitted in a separate frame. The rubber-sprung rotary joint between them compensates for all of the COUGAR’s movements. This means that both frames can twist against each other in any direction so that the movements and vibrations of the mower are absorbed. This ingenious construction ensures not only perfect ground following but also extremely smooth travel for maximum driving comfort.
