RiceRice power.Rice is a special crop. Consequently, the combine must be equipped with a few additional components for harvesting.
![]() Dual cutterbars.Rice is extremely robust. To achieve optimal cutting quality and high cutting rates in this hard and aggressive plant material, all cutting units are equipped with dual cutterbars. The specially hardened knife blades are highly durable. Hardened intake auger. During rice harvesting operations, the machinery is continuously subject to stress due to dirt particles. To counteract material wear the hardened intake auger has sintered edges. Special defl ectors on the sides of the infeed auger reliably prevent wrapping. Collectively, these features provide for optimal crop fl ow and high throughput. ![]() Gentle threshing. To ensure that the delicate rice grains are not damaged during the threshing process, the LEXION has a ricecompatible Get the most out of your harvest. Even in rice crops, the unique APS threshing system by CLAAS increases throughput by up to 20 %. The preaccelerator upstream of the spike tooth drum pulls the straw mat apart and signifi cantly accelerates crop flow. The separation process is much more effective due to the high centrifugal forces exerted on the rice. ![]() Reliable delivery. All components of the grain delivery system are made from wear-resistant material in order to minimise material wear due to dirt. This is necessary because water-dispersed soil components adhere to the plants during rice harvesting. A very large amount of dirt is entrained into the machine. ![]() Made of steel: track roller unit.Without track roller units, machine harvesting of the, at times, very wet rice fields would not be possible. For the rice crop, all CLAAS combines can be equipped with special steel track roller units which guarantee maximum traction and prevent the vehicle from sinking in deeply. Designed for all terrain use: TERRA TRAC.
Rice harvesting demands absolute all-terrain capability. In these conditions the new TERRA TRAC track roller unit is in its element. The large ground contact surfaces offer the LEXION 570 maximum traction and, in conjunction with the all-wheel drive axle, ensure a reliable harvest. The running gear is fully suspended and therefore absolutely roadworthy. A high level of driving comfort is assured, even at maximum road speed. Another time and money-saving plus-point: a transport vehicle is not required to change field with the combine harvester. |
