Operation

The CLAAS COMMUNICATOR, with its large clearly laid-out display and the new isobus technology makes the work really easy for you. You are informed in real time about operational status of the QUADRANT. A touch of the finger is all that is needed to change the most important settings.

From the cab, adjust the settings to changing crop conditions or customer requirements. You determine the prechamber setting, baling pressure and bale length. You can turn off the prechamber completely. Operate the knife group selection, open or close the cutter chamber. The tandem steering axle (option) can be locked.

20 job memories are available for professional work order data collection. For each job the COMMUNICATOR stores the bale count, the total length, the percentage of chopped bales and the average bale length. This gives you all the data you need for accurate invoicing with your customers.

Beyond that, you have access to additional information. Torque indication, prechamber setting, baling pressure and material moisture are examples of such data that may be of interest during operation. This lets you know what your machine has produced overall, there are displays for the overall bale length as well as hour and bale counters.
