Pickup

Stub augers on either side of the wide pick-up
feed the crop to the centre where it enters the baling channel. As a result, the edges of the bales are compacted even more than the rest, making them extremely stable when being transported or stacked.

The design of the QUADRANT 1150 provides for an enormous pick-up capacity, thanks to the wide pick-up. The castor guide wheels ensure that the pick-up always follows the ground precisely. A baffle plate on the pick-up is useful when harvesting short crop material, maximising pick-up and crop flow to the packer.  The patented CLAAS roller crop press smoothes out the crop flow, even if the swath is dense and irregular.  The power transfer from the tractor is dependable and smooth with a wide angle drive shaft. The QUADRANT 1150 keeps working consistently on smaller plots and when the swath is not straight, guaranteeing thorough field clearance and a clean crop.
