2010-12-15  -  CLAAS demonstrates strength in 2010

The important agricultural machinery markets serviced by CLAAS only started to return to positive territory at the end of 2010. CLAAS used the 2010 financial year to prepare itself for profitable growth with various new products and improved structures and processes. The CLAAS 2010 financial year (balance sheet date 30 September) was characterised by a decline in sales due to the global recession and financial crisis.

2010-12-10  -  Miles awarded 2010 CLAAS Scholarship

The CLAAS Group has announced that Harper Adams student Miles Metcalfe is the winner of the 2010 Scholarship for Agricultural Engineering. Miles, 20, from Northallerton in North Yorkshire, is currently studying MEng (Hons) Agricultural Engineering at the University College based in Shropshire.

2010-12-08  -  New Sinderby dealership opens for business

Seward’s newly redeveloped branch at Sinderby near Thirsk, North Yorkshire was officially opened on November 17th by CLAAS UK Chairman, Clive Last. The impressive new purpose-built facility, which is located right alongside the A1, provides Seward and its staff at Sinderby with one of the most modern dealership premises in the UK, which will benefit both the Seward team and its customers.

2010-11-18  -  CLAAS apprenticeship continues to appeal

The attraction of the CLAAS Agricultural Technician Apprenticeship is evident from the continuing demand for places on the Scheme. From those applying this autumn, a further 15 students have been selected to join the CLAAS Agricultural Technician Apprenticeship.

2010-10-07  -  Cathrina Claas-Mühlhäuser is the new President of the CLAAS Supervisory Board

Harsewinkel. At its latest meeting in Harsewinkel, the Supervisory Board of CLAAS KGaA elected a new President. Cathrina Claas-Mühlhäuser was appointed as the new President of the Supervisory Board. She thus takes over from her father, Helmut Claas, who had been President since 1995, when the legal form of the company was changed to a KGaA (commercial partnership limited by shares).
