2011Three new round balers with fixed chamber: ROLLANT PROThe balers of the ROLLANT series, with their bale dimension of 1.25 m X 1.2 m, stand out for their high performance and extraordinary bale density, while still maintaining excellent reliability – even under difficult conditions and when the crop is damp. There are now three new models in this successful series, which can be optionally equipped with a hydraulically lowered cutter chamber: ROLLANT 374 RF PRO, 374 RC and 374 RC PRO ROLLANT 375 RC, 375 RC PRO, 375 RC Comfort PRO ROLLANT 375 UNIWRAP PRO
Straightforward operation The suffix "PRO" in the designation of the new ROLLANT balers indicates that the cutter chambers are hydraulically lowered automatically when rotor blockages are imminent. At the same time the driver is alerted by an acoustic alarm. The blockage can be quickly and simply eliminated from the driver's cab. The driver is therefore not taking any risks, even if he always works up to the maximum capacity limit. On the contrary, he can produce more bales per day. Blockages can be cleared at the push of a button by activating the automatic mode on the COMMUNICATOR, which causes the blades to swivel back in the event of a blockage, and the cutter chamber to move forwards, thus releasing the crop. After activating the PTO shaft, as soon as the drive speed reaches 300 rpm, the cutter chamber lifts back up and work can continue. It is no longer necessary to keep climbing down from the tractor. Use the CMT or the COMMUNICATOR Both the CMT (CLAAS Medium Terminal) and COMMUNICATOR control terminals are available for the ROLLANT balers. All CLAAS balers – including the ROLLANT – are equipped with an ISOBUS. The CMT informs the driver, for instance, about the total number of bales, the hourly or daily output, and the status of the bales or the cutter chamber. The COMMUNICATOR provides other additional information, such as a 20-slot job memory, an overview of net or twine wraps, operation and adjustment of the wrapper, etc. Active high-performance rotor The ROLLANT balers are optionally equipped with the ROTO CUT system (RC) or cutting rotor. The 16 blades have a (theoretical) cutting length of 7 cm and are individually protected by their 16 springs. Such a robust system guarantees the best cutting quality in all harvesting conditions. The teeth on the 16 blades are made from double hardened steel, so are extremely aggressive and have a long service life. The ROLLANT balers have manually or automatically lubricated bearings – suitable for demanding continuous use under the most difficult of conditions. ROLLANT 374 and 375 are distinguished by featuring the MPS II (Maximum Pressure System). Rollers arranged in an arched configuration allow the bales to rotate in the bale chamber. The high bale density ensures that tidy, round, highly compressed bales are produced, which makes them ideal for storage. ROLLANT 375 UNIWRAP The ROLLANT range also includes a wrapping combination, which was developed specifically for baling performance. The bale is first transferred within a few seconds from the baler to the wrapper by a tipping trough with synchronised opening mechanism. Two guides on the left and right-hand sides of the tipping trough ensure excellent durability. With six layers of filml, the wrapping procedure only lasts a possible record-breaking 35 seconds. The machine has the capacity to carry ten spare rolls of film. A CMT (CLAAS MEDIUM TERMINAL) is fitted to the wrapping machine, in case the driver would like to operate the machine manually. This makes for even more convenient operation. The ROLLANT 375 UNIWRAP has 560/45-22.5 tyres. This gives it a wider contact area and improved, ground-protecting weight distribution.
