Private Placement

At the close of 2002, CLAAS structured over 200 million US dollars in securities as part of a private placement. It is mainly USA insurance companies, who have stringent requirements in terms of credit quality, who have subscribed to the security. The private placement has helped CLAAS to improve its long-term capital structure and widen its investor base at the same time.
